Jesus went out of the house and sat by the sea.Matthew13v1 Scripture taken from the King James version. Copyright 1979, 1980, 1982, by Thomas Nelson.inc. Used by permission. All rights reserved.

I love this verse. Jesus spent time in nature, with nature, alone. He loved creation. It was where He went to spend time alone with God. There is something magical about spending time in nature.
To sit by the sea, to feel its power, it's soothing rhythm. It's scent. It's vastness. To hear and feel the waves. The crashing of water against sand and stone. Water in tune with the moon. Rising and falling like breath. It makes me feel whole and connected. Like I can breath again. The sea brings me perspective and I feel close to God.
Beauty soothes. God knew this when He gave us senses, and created a world to fill them. We are not surrounded by black and white , by lines and squares. We live in a world of colour, of music and sounds. A world made up of light and dark, mountains and seas.
When we lived in the truck and took our first journey, we travelled for miles and days. When we were just about at our destination of Andalucia, we found ourselves in the most awesome mountains. We had to pull over , we stood and we looked at these mountains. They were so awesome I couldn't take it in. I actually wept. What a Creator, what beauty He gives us.
This Creator of the world, of the vast undiscovered universes loves little old me. Who am I that He should love me. I am his daughter.
And then here we are. We have come full circle to the sparrows(see older post).
