the everyday musings of a mind at sea

The woman in our veg shop cheers my heart no end. She never fails to smile and chat and she usually helps me carry my veg to the car. Even when there is a cue. Bless her utter loveliness.
Today I went in and she gave me a whole bag of gorgeous mushrooms. It was a shame to throw them away she said! but they weren't abimed, I cant remember the english word for that
but basically they are not bitten, rotten , bad etc. No they certainly were not! They are not white and scrubbed like the others so she couldn't display them bla bla bla, You will be glad to know they are now all snuggled up next to a rather deliciously stuffed potimarron. (no idea what that is in english its like a small pumpkin that bears not much resemblance to a pumpkin, is orange and of the courge fambly.) It is rather delicious and stuffed with rice and the above vegetables curried. Note the bright orange cauliflour, I mean really look what too much sun can do !
Next to its delightful self are the aforementioned mushrooms smothered in olive oil and fit to burstin with big stinky cloves of garlic. Do i really have to wait all afternoon!!
I'm off out now and I like to be prepared.
Jamie will arrive home before me and all he has to do is switch on the oven.
Wonderful.
What a furry boot wearing domestic godess I am today
Oh mother , your daughter! Wouldn't she be proud..
