Portrait of the Father.
Oh father of mine,
You are to far,
for us to join and dine.
so I send you my heart,
it flys to you by fairy dart.
Did it reach you?
Do you feel it?
Did it get there in time?
In time for you to know,
how much I love you so.
You named me,
You prayed for me.
And here I am all yours.
Living far away,
in a place you don't often go.
Our paths don't cross ,
but our hearts do,
and all the while the webs.
The webs of time,
the silken weave,
Upon my life the imprints leave.
You taught me things you cannot know,
I chose the way I wanted to go.
You taught me how to be myself.
Thank you dad,
Look after your health.
