Morning coffee

I stood in my morning room and placed my coffee by the window. The dim light from the hallway made everything seem just a little bit magical. I stood and looked out of the big window.
It is the length of the tiny room.
I saw a neighbours light flicker into life.
I love mornings.
I love to get up and be welcomed by a chorus of mewing tuna songs.
Today was no different. All but one are fed. Grogné is still afraid of the cat flap.
As I stood in the semi dark with my warm coffee. I looked across the street at the lit house of our neighbour. She too was in her dressing gown, and she opened her door and called for her cats.
They have six cats. How even lovelier ,I thought , than our four.
Now I sit with the light on writing my morning pages.
I've finished my delicious coffee. I only allow myself one. Otherwise I get to bi-polar high, which is fine for me but disconcerting for others. It also disrupts my rapidly approaching yogasizing.
All is well and God is good.
I shall rest in the beauty of the approaching day.
How fortunate we are to have electric lights, the luxury of domesticated animals and coffee.
Bastards that we are , raping the earth.
Have a nice day!
