My beautiful artist friend Jophina Blinky took this photo thinking of me and sent it to me. (check out her other photos and artwork on the artbox link on my sites of succulence). It makes me so happy with that fluffy warm sock feeling that I just had to share it. She entitled it Hi likl jo. In fact I am likl Jo because she is Jo too (or one). The art circles we were in at the time began to refer to me as likl jo so as to differentiate between us. I would like to point out that she is not big, I am just shorter. This is obvious to every one who knows me and is aware that I am also shorter than them. Apart from a couple of people of course. The world is a large and populated place.
So Hi likl Jo and Hi to you too. A cheery wave on a cheery day in a cheery way from a cheery Jo. It lifts my little artists heart with its colour , water , earthyness and reflections. My favourite.
Real, yet not real. Truth, not truth. A reflection of the real thing. Is it me? Is it you? Is it her? What is it I am searching for in these shadows and reflections. Myself? Another me? You in me? Yes I like it, all that. Sunshine and shadows. Self portraits. Self obsession. Aren't we all a little bit like that. Search your heart, Luke, you know it to be true.
